Job Description:

• Use imprint, lithography, etching, and metrology to develop new masking techniques that enhance the optical function of micro-optical components.
• Design and conduct experiments based on physics and chemistry principles, interpreting results using first principles.
• Develop and build etching tools with in-situ monitoring and control to accelerate new etched optics product development.
• Document and accumulate knowledge from rapid and low-cost failures, supporting continuous learning and improvement.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities, product optimization, and re-qualification processes.
• Work on methodologies for lean manufacturing to optimize production efficiency.
• Train and supervise technical staff, ensuring high standards and knowledge transfer.
• Create, update, and maintain working instructions and process documentation.

Professional Skills:

• B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Microtechnology, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of microtechnology fabrication processes for optical components.
• Experience in metrology and characterization of micro- and nanostructures.
• Specialized in methods of etching and imprint technology at the wafer level.
• Expertise in thin film technology.
• Familiarity with fabrication technologies in the semiconductor industry.
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in German and French as a plus.
