101The International School of Lausanne (ISL) is a leading non-profit, International Baccalaureate (IB) World School set in the French speaking part of Switzerland. Our school is committed to excellence in education. We strive to recognise the unique potential of each student, and to equip them to play an active and responsible role in a complex, multicultural world. The school employs approximately 250 members of staff on its campus where we welcome approximately 950 students from over 60 nationalities, from 3 to 18 years of age.
ISL offers a superb reputation and a track record of academic excellence. We seek to provide children with the best in class education that builds confidence, curiosity and adaptability in a fast changing world.
Mutual support drives a culture of collaboration among the ISL staff. We have built a community that is committed and passionate – our staff knows what it takes to become high achievers.
We expect a great deal from our highly qualified staff and, in return, ensure that they have a rewarding and comfortable life at ISL: an open-minded and trusting work environment, an approachable leadership team, a modern and spacious campus.

Excellent facilities, a superb location and great teachers
Poor management and heavy workload The well-being of teachers (what well-being?) is never ever considered. For example, having 70 appointments (on Learning Review Days) with parents (5 minutes slots on line, through Google Meet) ON THE SAME DAY for a full time teacher in Secondary is considered normal at ISL. Staff is not listened to by the management. The school has excellent facilities, a superb location and great teachers, but work conditions are very poor.
