This is a temporary position for someone who has experience in LPG operations and who is immediately available.
Our client is an Oil and Gas trading company based in Geneva.
Description
- Review Purchase and Sales contracts
- Ensure nominations and documentary instructions are sent timely and as per contractual agreement
- Ensure that Inspector/Agent at load/discharge are nominated timely and accurately in regards of quantity and quality specification as per the sale or purchase contract
- Review all loading and/or discharge documents provided by either the Agents, Inspector, Superintendent in accordance with the Sale or Purchase contract.
- Ensure cargo documentation is compliant with contract / financial instruments
- Liaise with Trade Finance / LC department to ensure authorisations are granted for loading/discharge of cargo
- Inform all desks involved (TF, LC and Demurrage) when loading / discharge is completed
- Ensure all operational and shipping costs are properly updated / recharged in ETRM
- Process incoming invoices related to shipping and operational costs
- Responsible for settling any dispute / claim
- Follow up closely with counterparts on operational cost payments collection
- Update ETRM daily for all trading units engaged in LPG trade flow
- Manage fleet of vessels. 7 - 10 time charters simultaneously + Voyage CP + any cif/cif deals
- Supervise the loading and discharging operations, ensuring vessels are always ready to load / discharge at any time in a smooth manner
- Organise and monitor ship-to ship transfers
- Liaise with vessel / owners to optimize time
- Clear vessels with the necessary counterparts to perform the lifting under the Sale or Purchase contract.
- Ensure payments of hire and invoices due to owners, agents, inspectors, bunker suppliers are made on time.
- Buy bunkers (vlsdo / hfo / lsmgo) for our fleet in time charter at the best price and location as possible, always meeting quality standards. Ensure bunkering operations do not interfere with business commitment
- Arrange the security of the vessel (armed guards, escort vessels) and optimize costs
- Report location to insurance broker
- Update TC charters party liability spreadsheet
- Ensure the respect of the Charter Party
- Keep the physical/electronic filing system up to date for Audit purpose and/or internal one.
- Report on a monthly basis, the 4 vessels monthly bunker consumption to trading desk
Profile
Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor or Master degree or certification is required
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar position, preferably on LPG activities in big trading houses
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, French is a plus
- Experience in utilizing IT systems relating to trading/operations, proficient in excel
- Good attention to details and comfortable working with figures
