Your Role
EF Brighton is looking for an enthusiastic administrator with excellent communication & organisational skills to join our busy Student Services Department and coordinate our transfer service over the summer.
As our Summer Transportation Coordinator you will be responsible for producing safe & seamless transportation solutions for our customers. You will oversee the school emergency phone on weekends liaising with various stakeholders, including students, transportation companies and sale offices to ensure a great start for every student on their journey with us. This is full time, fixed term role running from June/July – August 2025. Permanent job opportunities available post summer.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop relationships with local suppliers
- Manage weekend departures and arrivals:
- Liaise with Central Transportation Team on the creation of accurate arrival and departure lists
- Produce onward transfer lists for students transferring within Brighton on arrival/departure lists
- Liaise with Residence staff and taxi company to update any changes/delays
- Oversees weekend briefing, liaising with wider team
- Develop and improve the overall customer experience of arrival and transportation services
- Respond to student feedback or complaints
- Report and follow up from weekend incidents to ensure week by week improvement
- Increase sales on return transfer
- Provide the first point of contact with all calls to the emergency phone on a 24/7 basis on weekends
- Ensure the timely and accurate answering and recording of all requests for emergency resources using the log system
Requirements
- An interest in transportation and logistics
- Minimum intermediate competency working with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- An analytical mind set and excellent problem-solving skills
- Capacity of working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
- Capable of using your own initiative and being decisive
- Have the right to live and work in the country of employment
- Complete fluency in English
- Excellent listening skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Remain calm under pressure
- Empathy and compassion
- The ability to manage and support others during times of crisis - most commonly during an emergency call
