Performance Lead
As a core member of the extended SLT, this person will drive performance and deploy continuous improvement across the site. This individual should be a strong team player with highly developed communication and presentation skills. This position reports to the plant manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Focused on identifying and improving OEE throughout the end-to-end value streams of the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC)
- Implementation of the Baxter Operating System (BOS) – our Enterprise-wide operating system using Lean Thinking, Lean Implementation, Digital Transformation and effective Root Cause Problem Solving to drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
- Shaping and deploying standard tier boards, KPI cascades, across balance scorecard metrics into all functions and areas
- Supporting the delivery of team-based Kaizen improvements in line with top loss data and site manufacturing strategy
- Working cross functionally to ensure all departments contribute, assist, and deliver quantifiable performance improvement across the business
- Working cross functionally to deliver the site MIP program in line with the site strategy. Tracking, updating, and coordinating MIP oversight and budgeting
- Working cross functionally to ensure all departments contribute, assist, and deliver quantifiable performance improvement across the business Communication & employee engagement
- Ensure mechanisms are in place to communicate and drive employee involvement within continuous improvement projects and continually review their effectiveness and explore new options which link to & support the site engagement plans
- KPI data evaluation / Tableau analysis - Data analysis, report development, cost saving evaluation and creation of improvement narratives
- Advanced problem-solving capability. Supporting site teams to solve complex problems by facilitating structured problem-solving events, eliminate waste and deliver new capacity / capability against the manufacturing strategy and business growth plans
- Implementing standard practices and standard work to improve processes
- Training in Opex elements as required to align with Opex strategy across site
- Management of 6S program across the site. Coach and mentor site Black Belt and Green Belt candidates to ensure timely completion of their quality and/or cost focused projects- ultimately leading to the candidate’s certification.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience managing teams and developing support programs
- Advantage Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Must have a working knowledge of LEAN tools and methodology
- Must be able to function in a team environment
- Must be able to directly lead and/or co-lead high-impact process improvement projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Proven skills working with cross-functional teams
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills. The ability to drive change.
- Excellent reading, writing and verbal communication and platform skills in local language as well as in English. Strong teaching and presentation skills required
- Strong analytical/statistical problem-solving skills
- Strong Coaching and Facilitation skills
Education and/or Experience:
-BS/BA degree or equivalent degree in Business Management, Engineering, or other related field of study. MBA, MS or other technical graduate degree preferred
- Solid knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles with a minimum 5 years of business operations and/or plant manufacturing or engineering experience, which includes a minimum of 3+ years of demonstrated process improvement success
