A great opportunity within an international organization as an Assistant Examiner DE/EN
Responsibilities
- Conduct processing and formalities examination duties for international patent applications in at least two languages.
- Assess the formalities requirements of standard international applications, ensuring they meet established standards. Process applications, perform data entry, check associated documents for completeness, acknowledge receipt and follow up as needed. Refer more complex formalities issues to the Team Coordinator for further handling.
- Support the team with customer service tasks and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Prepare and review publications. Ensure that publication and republication tasks are finalized for international release within set deadlines and notify the Team Coordinator of any delays or issues.
- Perform Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and data entry for international applications, along with other relevant tasks as required.
Profile
- Completion of secondary education with a relevant diploma.
- 1–3 years of experience in roles such as administrative or office support.
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken German, with a good command of English.
- Proficient IT skills for document processing, data management, and data retrieval.
- Ability to work within the rules, regulations, and procedures specific to the role.
- Capacity to meet predefined deadlines in an organized, logical manner while maintaining close attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with a strong sense of teamwork and shared responsibility.
- Proven ability to handle and protect confidential and sensitive data with integrity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective partnerships and working relationships in a multicultural, multi-ethnic setting with respect and sensitivity to diversity.
- Experience in formalities processing for patent, trademark, or industrial design applications is a significant asset.
