The Opportunity
As a Data Analyst, you will build and maintain data systems and construct datasets that are easy to analyze, supporting Business Intelligence requirements and downstream systems.
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
- Deliver insights and analytics solutions: Provide analytics solutions across various functions including Commercial, Manufacturing/Quality, R&D, and Corporate.
- Create analytics use cases: Develop use cases based on interactions with different business functions.
- Enable use cases with recommended tools: Implement these use cases using tools recommended by the CTO Organization.
- Collaborate with business functions: Work closely with various business functions to understand their needs and create relevant analytics use cases.
- Support data-driven decision making: Ensure that insights and analytics solutions support effective decision-making across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the processes and systems used for data analysis and reporting
- Auther technical requirements to build new features and enhancements for reporting tools
- Develop implementation roadmaps, project plans, approaches, and schedules.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions for vendor development.
- Document business rules and transformations in the Data/Viz Layers.
- Assist business users in testing and ensure completion.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with AWS, Power BI, and Qlik, with a strong technical understanding of BI/CRM systems and Commercial IT architecture.
- Ability to transform business requirements into technical specifications and deliver insights and analytics programs.
- Agile project/product management qualification or equivalent experience, with program/project/product management experience, including SDLC and Agile execution.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, maintenance, and refinement methods, with the ability to analyze diverse data and make appropriate decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas and data persuasively.
- Experience interacting with business and IT business partners to define scope, document requirements, and create user stories.
- Ability to work with vendors and the delivery team, acting as a bridge between them and the business, and forming effective partnerships with the Enterprise Data backbone team to design analytic solutions.
- Intermediate level proficiency in English if non-native Japanese, with a global mindset and willingness to work in a multi-national environment.
- Strong personal skills to portray information effectively and work in an agile and rapidly changing environment with high-quality deliverables.
