This is a challenging and interesting role as a legal counsel within the Legal Private Banking and Intermediaries team. The team Legal Private Banking and Intermediaries consists of highly qualified lawyers located at the Head Office in Zurich and in Lugano. The team is part of the General Counsel Wealth Management sub-division and provides legal advice to its stakeholders, including senior management from the Private Banking and Intermediaries & Family Office Regions of Bank Julius Baer & Co. Ltd. Our work is truly international as we closely collaborate with other teams around the globe with the aim to provide craft tailor-made solutions with a hands-on approach. We are a dynamic, highly motivated team and pride ourselves in our excellent team spirit and supportive atmosphere. From the very beginning, you will handle your own diverse portfolio of tasks. You therefore have a direct impact on the bank’s legal affairs and business.
YOUR CHALLENGE

A challenging and interesting role within the Legal Private Banking CH & Intermediaries team with a focus on Swiss and international legal and regulatory topics

Working closely with internal and external specialists from all over the world and advising relationship managers and senior management on legal and regulatory aspects

Provide ad-hoc legal support and efficient, client-oriented solutions to internal stakeholders

Advising on and managing all aspects of complaints and contentious issues, including management of external counsel

Drafting and reviewing standard contracts, policies and other legal documentation

Supporting strategic projects related to regulatory changes

Training of the bank’s employees on legal and regulatory topics

YOUR PROFILE

University degree in law and admission to the bar
-
Experience as a legal counsel, preferably in wealth management and private banking
-
Dynamic, flexible and capable of working independently as well as in groups
-
Analytical, structured and solution orientated with a proactive approach
-
Good communicator, capable of coping with pressure and with a natural capacity for persuading and convincing
-
Fluency in German and English is a must, additional languages would be an asset
-
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and IT flair
