Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Quality Excellence and Continuous Improvement Manager to join Pharmaceutical Systems Quality Excellence Team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all aspects of our business. This position requires a strategic thinker with a track record of driving process optimization and improvements through Six Sigma Lean methodologies, augmented with strong background in quality management, in the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement

Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to analyze and improve quality and manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements.

Utilize problem-solving to drive adequate problem statement definition and root cause elimination

Facilitate Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute improvement projects.

Measure and report on the impact of continuous improvement activities.
Leadership and Collaboration

Provide leadership and direction to the quality excellence network.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and excellence.

Partners with BD PS Excellence and Commercial Excellence to deliver on organizational strategies

Act as a subject matter expert on quality and continuous improvement best practices and industry trends.
Quality Management
-
Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA regulations, and other relevant standards.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards for medical devices.

Oversee the investigation and resolution of quality issues, including non-conformances, CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and customer complaints.

Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Lead the development and implementation of quality control processes and procedures.

Provide training and support to employees on quality standards, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality management and continuous improvement within the healthcare, automotive or similar industry.

Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and other relevant standards.

Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification required.

Proven track record of leading successful quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.

Proficiency in quality management software and tools.

For most roles, we require a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week to maintain our culture of excellence and ensure smooth operations, while also recognizing the importance of flexibility and work-life balance.
