As a NPPE Consumer & Marketplace insight Lead, you will be the business partner for Purina EUR Generating Demand teams and other relevant functions, playing a crucial role in driving consumer understanding and market analysis to inform strategic business decisions. This will involve conducting research, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights. Your focus will be on driving the learning agenda about petcare consumers, shoppers, and the marketplace. By leveraging your expertise, you will contribute to shaping the future direction of our business and ensuring that our products and services meet the evolving needs of our target audience.
A Day in the Life of a NPPE Consumer & Marketplace insight Lead
- Drive insight agenda for category strategy: Champion category and consumer insights, leading insight activities to close knowledge gaps and identify new growth opportunities
- Deep understanding of consumers: Support brand builders with relevant consumer research and synthesis to inform winning actions
- External focus and insight into action: Synthesize and disseminate category/segment/brand insights from multiple sources to drive actionable strategies
- Consumer input into brand strategy: Support brand teams in defining insight needs and research, providing guidance on methodologies and interpretation of results
- Collaboration with Purina functions and other regions: Coordinate global projects and ensure holistic petcare consumer understanding
- CMI functional capabilities as a center of excellence: Develop guidelines and toolkits, manage DIY research capabilities, and leverage central resources
- Agencies oversight: Ensure the application of appropriate methodologies and standards in research studies, nurture relationships with research agency partners
- Budget management: Accurate tracking of research project budgets in collaboration with the CMI team
What will make you successful
- Established experience in market research at Nestlé or equivalent FMCG or major research agencies
- Proficiency in a wide range of research methodologies (quantitative, qualitative, DIY, AI, panels, behavioral, etc.) across various research areas (product research, innovation & renovation, packaging, communication & digital, portfolio, marketing mix modeling)
- Experience in leading large-scale insights projects in a multi-market environment with complex stakeholder management
- Strong knowledge of generating demand dynamics and business principles
- Familiarity with Continuous and Syndicated Data (Retail Measurement and Consumer Panel data), as well as Brand Health Tracking
- Fluent in English, any other language is an asset
