Director, Resourcing and Planning

Hybrid Work- on average 3 days/week from office
Minimum 1 day from our Mississauga office and 2 days from our Mississauga or Downtown (temporary) office
Introduction to role:
The Director, Resource and Planning will support Global Development Operations, Regulatory & Safety by developing and refining resourcing models and forecasts, financial reports, and other special projects to serve business needs. This role is expected to handle requests that are time-sensitive and critical, responding to urgent requests from senior leadership.
Typical Accountabilities:
Data Analysis and Modelling

Responsible for financial data analysis and data reconciliation from various sources for clinical trial budgets

Monitor and analyze financial performance of clinical trials against forecasts

Gather information from various sources and prepare assessments based on requests from leadership

Ensure the accuracy of information reported

Prepare presentations for internal stakeholders

Possess an entrepreneurial attitude to take on a wide range of special projects

Drive evolution of Global Development, Regulatory & Safety by creating, innovating, supporting, and embedding efficiencies to implement high-impact work and seamless delivery

Provide oversight on ongoing strategic partnerships by acting as the primary project manager
Developing, Refining, and Reporting Resourcing and Headcount Forecasts

Engage with Global Development Operations, Regulatory & Safety leaders to understand FTE forecasting needs and design a fit-for-purpose tool

Monitor Global Development Operations, Regulatory & Safety resourcing, and work with leaders to respond to changes in needs, raising issues concerning competing resourcing priorities

Work with functions to implement and establish resourcing strategies within given parameters

Monitor and communicate current and future delivery capacity cross-functionally and flag resourcing capability gaps to senior leadership

Participate in development opportunities internal and external to the organization that would supply to the business needs
Essential Skills/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
-
Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry and project management
-
Experience managing cross-functional teams to implement complex projects
-
Experience with data analytics, modelling, and forecasting
-
Able to learn quickly in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
-
Ability to problem solve and follow-up on urgent matters in a timely manner

Able to interact effectively with all levels of employees and thoughtfully manage internal client expectations.

Proven ability to independently manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining and adhering to operational processes and internal policies that are essential and central to this position.
The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment.
