Introduction to team
Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.
In this Talent Leadership, Culture and Experience role, you will drive the Expedia Group’s strategic vision for cultivating and being intentional about workplace culture, enhancing engagement, and developing leadership capabilities. This role will collaborate with senior leadership to align organizational goals with initiatives that foster an inclusive and high-performing environment. You will partner directly with our SVP, Talent and Leadership and their senior leaders and stakeholders across Expedia Group divisions to help define what it means to be a leader at Expedia Group and embedding that into our systems and practices across the company. You will directly support the building of our global workplace community and boost the rally cry of the leadership culture at Expedia Group.
In this role, you will:

Leadership Development: Define what it means to be a leader at Expedia Group and integrate into our systems and practices. Design and implement comprehensive leadership programs to enhance skills and competencies at all levels of the organization. Work with key stakeholders to build and hold sessions, experiences, and coaching for leaders to promote effective leadership practices.

Culture Transformation: Assess and evolve the organizational culture to align with business objectives and employee needs. Consider ways to amplify core values across systems and practices throughout the employee life cycle. Integrate strategies to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging within the workplace.

Employee Experience: Partner with the Analytics team to leverage regular assessments of employee engagement through surveys and focus groups.Revamp the onboarding process to ensure new hires feel welcomed and prepared. Collaborate across functions to outline and provide a uniquely EG experience that helps new Expedians integrate smoothly and shorten time to productivity in their new role. Develop a framework for recognition that acknowledges employee achievements and contributions regularly, fostering a culture of appreciation and excellence. Create and support culture-first practices and policies that are meaningful to employees as a result of our ongoing listening strategy, including community building, return to office practices, wellness programs, and mental health resources, etc.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with People Business Partners, Global Talent Acquisition, Total Reward, Global Communications, Inclusion and Diversity, and other departments to align leadership and culture initiatives with organizational goals.Collaborate with senior executives to embed cultural values in Expedia Group’s business practices and decision-making processes.

Metrics and Reporting: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of leadership and culture initiatives. Prepare and present regular reports to Travel Leadership Team on the status and impact of Leadership, Culture and Experience programs.
Experience and qualifications:

15+ years of experience in HR, organizational development, or related roles, with a focus on leadership and culture.

Strong knowledge of employee engagement strategies, leadership development methodologies, and change management principles.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.

Proven ability to influence and engage cross-functional stakeholders at all levels. You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.

A Strategic Partner: curious and passionate about the business context and leadership growth, builds strong relationship by being an inspiring and approachable leader.

Data-driven: leverage data to identify gaps, you think holistically and strategically, considering the interconnectedness of various factors. ability to synthesize ad hoc market intelligence data to provide insight and inform talent strategies i.e. talent market trends, threats, opportunities etc.

A Storyteller: able to build and articulate a vision and translating it into an executable strategy, leading with data and insights. Skilled thought-leader, confident and successful at influencing others to act.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $261,500 to $366,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $418,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
