For our office in Geneva, we are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
Main tasks:
- Design for manufacturing, cost-efficient and robust solutions.
- Convert advanced concepts into practical design.
- Challenges concepts and drawings produced by others.
- Be a reference and coach for robust design.
- Support actual products within a multi-department team.
- Able to master actual product requiring complex multi-physical understandings.
- Hands-on with experimental mounting and testing.
- Master/PhD of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnics or Mechatronics/similar.
- Tolerance management, Robust Design, Design-to-Cost, Finite Element Analysis (Solidworks, Comsol, Ansys).
- Development of complex systems involving different technologies (in particular electrical, mechanical, magnetic).
- Implementation of robust design into industrial products.
- Key player in inventing advanced concepts and solving critical issues.
- Broad knowledge of machining capabilities and material (plastics/thermoset).
- French & English (must), German (wish).
- Geometrical Product Specifications (ISO Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), Tolerance Management (with application in SolidWorks).
- Functional Analysis, FMEA.
- Electrical engineering fundamentals/Power electronics.
