Main duties
The Group Technical Procurement Leader will lead and drive strategic procurement initiatives across multiple business units. This role is responsible for managing supplier negotiations, contract management, supplier relationships, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

- Work closely with Group Service & Solution Leader to develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy tailored to the Selecta markets for the partners & suppliers.
- Preparation, execution, and management of supplier negotiations across Machine, Equipment & Spare part categories with a yearly spend of approx. 100 - 150 Mio. EUR.
- Lead contract negotiations with direct suppliers to optimize terms and conditions for Selecta, while mitigating risks.
- Ensure contract and DoA compliance throughout the procurement process.
- Engage with Legal Counsel to ensure contract and regulatory compliance.
- Execute based upon agreed contract KPI’s, targets and rebates.
- Establish, cultivate and manage partner relationships to foster collaboration and trust.
- Single Point of Contact for key supplier strategic partnerships for Group.
- Lead supplier performance management including improving sustainability & social responsibility.
- Manage Top 2 Top half yearly meetings
- Drive standardization of strategic product roadmap based on client needs (“as global as possible – as local as needed”).
- Conduct market development and Machine innovation studies.
- Successfully lead the Development, Introduction & Launch, Production, Service, Refurbishment or Recycling of the product market activities between Partners and Selecta.
- Effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross functional partners to ensure flawless execution of strategy.
- Work closely with Category Mangers for Hot, Fresh and Impulse to efficiently manage the product portfolio, maximizing profitability and minimizing complexity in product life cycle.
- Permanent market observation and adaptation of the product range to (seasonality) trends and developments
- Be able to guide, mentor, and inspire people in all Selecta countries.
- Build strong relations with Selecta country leaders.
- Work closely with our Finance to ensure an accurate budget and up to date rolling forecasts for Key Performance Indicators for Procurement, anticipating risks and opportunities that can influence business results.
- Work closely together with commercial & supply chain teams to provide reliable forecasts to suppliers.
- Proactively evaluate and manage risks in supply chain. Secure continuous and sustainable product availability.
- Manage and act to comply with the inventory targets per market.
- Engage with Marketing, Sales and Sustainability leaders to create the best story to drive retention and growth by winning tenders.
Professional competence
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in procurement, business economics, technical, or a related field/education.
- 5+ years of experience in technical purchasing and category management, ideally in the Coffee, Vending or Automotive / Machine production sector.
- Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, conduct comprehensive analysis, and develop actionable insights.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in English is required. German and or Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Certification in engineering, product/project management or supply chain management is a plus.
