Safety Equipment & Homologation Engineer – Trainee (Geneva - Switzerland)
We are looking for a motivated and passionate Safety Equipment & Homologation Engineer – Trainee to join the Safety Equipment and Homologation Group. This position focuses on providing support for projects related to the research, development, and implementation of safety equipment regulations for driver safety, vehicle safety, and circuit hardware safety.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Competitor Safety Engineer, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in safety innovation.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in motorsport safety while developing technical and analytical skills.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES:
Research & Standards Development
- Assist in establishing new safety standards, procedures, and regulations through background research and literature reviews.
- Collaborate with safety equipment manufacturers to support prototype development.
Project & Technical Support
- Draft safety standards and regulations for driver, vehicle, and circuit safety.
- Provide assistance in assigning new homologations.
- Support the preparation and execution of post-homologation tests.
- Analyze homologation test reports and provide detailed feedback.
- Conduct data analysis to improve safety processes and outcomes.
Meetings & Communication
- Prepare materials for internal and external meetings.
- Participate in meetings and provide support as needed.
PROFILE:
- Engineering student in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong desire to understand and apply international technical standards in a practical context.
- Familiarity with CAD software, VBA coding and MATLAB are an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

The candidate must remain enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the internship and must be able to provide a mandatory internship agreement issued by their university.
