As a Project Development Manager, you will help analyze potential investments and oversee an outstanding development in Italy. As an Asset Manager, you will manage real estate assets, represent owners in contractor dealings, and supervise renovation or value-add projects for optimal performance.
Multi-family office whose direct real estate activities are becoming increasingly significant and focused on value-add strategies, my client mandated me to help them recruit a talented real estate professional to support this dynamic.
Description
Real Estate Project Development activities:
- Work closely with local partners to oversee the development phase.
- Regularly update and report on the progress of development works.
- Identify key risks and suggest mitigating actions.
- Ensure construction quality meets established standards and deadlines.
- Collaborate with local partners to reconcile construction costs and budgets.
- Prepare reports for investors and coordinate board meetings.
Real Estate Asset Management activities:
- Work with property management firms to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Conduct frequent on-site visits to inspect building quality and recommend renovations or value-add projects.
- Create and manage budgets for quality improvements and ongoing asset management.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts for maintenance, renovations, and value-add projects, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality solutions.
- Oversee technical due diligence for new acquisitions and construction projects.
- Prepare reports for investors and coordinate board meetings.
Profile
- Ideally, a university degree in civil engineering or architecture, complemented by a specialization in finance.
- Over 7 years of experience in project management or real estate development; experience with hospitality projects is a plus.
- Exposure to asset management in Switzerland is a strong plus.
- Technical expertise in construction processes and building systems.
- Strong negotiation skills and contract management experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness and flexibility for day trips within Switzerland and in Europe.
- Analytical mindset, critical thinking, and ability to synthesize information.
- Fluency in French and English is required; knowledge of German or Italian is a significant plus.
