The AOG Desk of SWISS International Air Lines is accountable for the end-to-end Material Supply Chain in the event of an “Aircraft on Ground” situation due to technical reasons, covering the entire SWISS & Edelweiss Fleet – worldwide on a 24/7 basis.

The AOG Desk manages this end-to-end process under the directional boundary of justified unplanned technical demands, meaning no legal operation due to technical restrictions as well as no dispatch under operational restriction measures
- Decision making towards most suitable and economic solution (e.g. Purchasing, Loan, Exchange)
- Sourcing and supply of urgently needed aircraft spare parts
- Negotiation of terms and conditions allowing for immediate availability
- Coordinating best mode of transport with the assigned freight forwarder
- Expediting delivery of parts to required point of usage
- Tracking and tracing of specific shipments worldwide
- Close coordination of cases with Maintenance
- Communication with suppliers and internal stakeholder
- Settlement and closing of AOG cases
- Follow-up administration of complex AOG cases
- Back-Office Administrative tasks

- Technical and / or commercial education
- 2 -5 years’ experience in logistics and / or procurement, preferably in an aviation environment
- Willingness for shift-work (24/7/365; Early-, Late-, Night-Shift rotations)
- Fluent in English (spoken and written, any other language is an advantage)
- Good IT Know-How (MS Office), AMOS knowledge is an advantage
- Negotiation skills and ability to make quick decisions
- Able to work and take decisions independently
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle complex tasks and work under pressure
- Excellent problem solving and prioritizing skills
- Team player
