The Site and Civil Engineering (SCE) Department manages and develops CERN’s real estate assets and infrastructures in alignment with CERN’s scientific strategy, as well as all services related to the maintenance and operation of the CERN site. We are currently seeking a Coordinator of Responsible Campus Services to lead the cleanliness unit, which includes cleaning, waste management, and recovery. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the daily experience of up to 10,000 people across CERN’s sites in both France and Switzerland—including our iconic experimental areas.
Functions
As Coordinator of Responsible Campus Services for cleanliness, you will be part of a team committed to continuous learning and professional growth. Your role will include:
Managing cleanliness services:
- Oversee third-party service contracts, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Act as the primary contact for contractors and the CERN community, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Control budgets, verify invoices, and track costs to comply with financial constraints.
- Ensure quality through regular audits and continuous process improvement.
Driving Innovation and Sustainability:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Plan and execute investments to enhance cleanliness services.
- Implement sustainability initiatives aligned with CERN’s 2030 Environmental Objectives.
- Update long-term roadmaps and technical specifications during procurement.
- Lead pilot projects to improve efficiency and environmental impact.
Supporting Campus Services:
- Collaborate on other campus services activities when required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of facility management, service management, hospitality management or a related field.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience as a service provider, overseeing the contractual relationships, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Demonstrated experience working with cleaning companies or cleaning services for large contracts.
- Experience in continuous improvement or LEAN management would be an asset.

Employment Conditions
