Join our Smart Helper team to transform life for the 1.6bn people with disabilities or chronic illness-powered by cutting-edge technology.

Your Role:

• Close collaboration with our two developers, product owner, and tech and entrepreneurship advisor.
  
• Build Smarter Solutions: Apply AI/ML expertise to create intelligent features like chat personalization, a matchmaking system, or predictive analytics to enhance user engagement and support effectiveness.
  
• Data Management: Design scalable solutions with Firebase (Firestore) and PostgreSQL (+pgvector) for real-time and structured (personal) data handling, ensuring high data privacy standards.
  
• Develop and Iterate: Take the lead in developing core features, including rapid prototyping, testing, and deploying functionalities for a seamless user experience.
  
• Agile Mindset: Use agile methodologies to deliver impactful features quickly, focusing on user value, iterative improvements, and team collaboration.
  
• User-Focused Design: Collaborate with the product owner and users during beta testing to design and refine intuitive, user-centered UX interfaces for native (iOS/Android) and web apps.
  
• Collaborate and Solve Problems: Work closely with the team to tackle technical challenges, optimize performance, and prepare the product for scalability.

• Backend: Python with Django web framework
  
• Frontend: Dart with Flutter framework for mobile and web apps
  
• LLM Integration: API streaming of OpenAI and similar LLMs
  
• Database: PostgreSQL and Firebase (Firestore)
  
• Cloud: Primarily Google Cloud
  
• Tools: Rapid prototyping, A/B testing, and user-centered design principles

• Proven experience in full-stack development.
  
• Expertise in AI/ML and passion for solving meaningful challenges through technology.
  
• Strong focus on user experience (UX) with a talent for designing intuitive applications.
  
• Experience building native mobile (iOS/Android) and web apps.
  
• Familiarity with Firebase Hosting and authentication systems.
  
• Fluent in English (German is a plus).
  
• Eligible to work in Switzerland or the EU/EFTA region.
