If you are a strategic and technically adept leader with expertise in software integration and team management, capable of driving complex platform migrations, leading interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring seamless delivery of scalable and secure solutions while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement - this could be the role for you:
Here's what you'll do:
- Lead the integration effort of a major new product to an existing software platform
- Build up and lead an interdisciplinary team consisting of analysts, QAs and developers
- Lead change management and team dynamics around a potential merger of teams
- Create and manage a technical roadmap to guide the migration while ensuring new functionalities are implemented
- Conduct a thorough assessment of the existing application, identifying dependencies, integrations, and potential challenges
- Plan and execute the migration of data if required, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime
- Address technical challenges and make decisions on software architecture, design patterns, and technology stack
- Maintain and support the current and future system through the transition and migration period
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with the migration and operation of both systems
- Analyse and challenge business requirements and translate them into modelling decisions and code
- Establish and enforce coding standards, review code, and oversee testing processes on both platforms
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure code
- Ensure documentation of code, requirements, development processes, testing standards and coverage
- Lead process improvements to enhance team productivity and efficiency
- Conduct and lead regular 1-on-1s and team meetings, performance reviews and annual appraisals
This is what you'll need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or relevant working experience
- Proficiency in data engineering tools and technologies (SQL, Python, DAX, Spark)
- Ability to develop and implement strategic visions for data architecture and AI capabilities
- Experience with deployment of AI solutions
- Experience with IoT data and telemetry data is a plus
- Prior experience leading and managing data management teams
- Ability to understand business concepts quickly and communicate with stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts and project updates clearly
