Our client is seeking a Cash Operations and Treasury Analyst to join their leading energy company. This role is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with a deep understanding of treasury functions, banking protocols, and payment systems, especially within the context of high-volume, high-value transactions typical in the oil and refinery sector. Your expertise will be crucial in optimising payment processes, managing cash specific to refinery operations, and supporting other general ledger, close and transactional processes.

What you'll do:
As a Cash Operations and Treasury Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of financial operations within the company. You will oversee all payments related to refinery operations, manage multiple accounts, forecast cash positions, and develop streamlined payment processes. Your ability to establish strong relationships with banking partners will be key in negotiating terms and ensuring cost-effective solutions. Furthermore, you will ensure adherence to regulatory standards while monitoring bank fees. Your expertise in using SAP and treasury management software will aid in managing payments effectively.
* Coordinate all payments related to refinery operations
* Manage and reconcile multiple accounts specific to refinery operations
* Review and forecast cash positions for refinery accounts regularly
* Develop streamlined payment processes
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with multiple banking partners
* Provide relevant information for management reporting
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
* Review bank fees related to refinery payments and accounts
* Use SAP and treasury management software to manage and track payments
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Cash Operations & Treasury Analyst position brings a wealth of experience in cash management, treasury, and accounting within the oil, gas or refinery sectors. You have proven experience managing banking relationships and setting up payment systems for large transactions. Your strong knowledge of SAP systems and payment processing platforms sets you apart from others. You are detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills that allow you to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Your analytical skills enable you to make informed decisions while your communication skills help you collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CTP) preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in cash management, treasury, accounting ideally within the oil, gas or refinery sectors.
* Proven experience managing banking relationships and setting up payment systems.
* Strong knowledge of SAP systems and payment processing platforms.
* Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
