The ETH Board is the strategic management and supervisory body of the ETH Domain, which consists of the two Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology in Zurich and Lausanne (ETH Zurich and EPFL) as well as the four research institutions PSI, WSL, Empa and Eawag. The ETH Domain has a large, heterogeneous real estate portfolio throughout Switzerland. As the federal government's department for construction and buildings, the ETH Board is responsible for this portfolio and its strategic development. It is supported by a staff responsible for preparing the files and implementing them.
As part of the succession planning in the Real Estate department, we are looking for a dynamic person to take on the following tasks as soon as possible:
You support the ETH Board and our institutions in the development of the real estate portfolio so that the infrastructure and buildings necessary for the performance of our core activities of teaching and research are available in good time. You manage internal credits and consolidate the ongoing investment planning as well as the periodic reports of our institutions on investments/costs and climate, environment and energy issues, etc. You coordinate the maintenance of the value and function of the real estate portfolio. You will continue to develop our data management concept (consolidations and evaluations based on SAP).
Your profile:
- University-level education in economics, engineering or real estate (possibly a combination of several disciplines)
- Proven experience in the relevant field of work at the operational and conceptual level
- Good knowledge of the use of digital data in property management
- Interest in sustainable construction to achieve our climate goals
- Ability to work autonomously, accurately and reliably, and to work in a network
- Pleasant personality with good interpersonal skills, comfortable in exchanges with management bodies
- Native German or French speaker, with a very good command of the other language, both oral and written, as well as a very good knowledge of English
We offer you attractive and family-friendly working conditions in a unique industry that combines research and science and has excellent technical and construction infrastructure. Your workplace is in the city centre of Zurich and Bern.
Please send your complete application documents, including cover letters, by e-mail (Write an email) by 31 January 2025 to Simone Blättler, Personnel Department of the ETH Board.
