The Project Engineer will manage capital projects, supporting various plant operations. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate fosters a collaborative environment, values safety, and drives continuous improvement within a Process Safety Management (PSM) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) framework.
Essential Job Functions:
- Champion Arxada Chemicals’ "Vision is Zero" initiative, striving for zero injuries, process incidents, distribution incidents, and environmental incidents in all activities.
- Promote our “Product Stewardship” initiative to enhance the health, safety, and environmental performance of products throughout their lifecycle.
- Lead project development from inquiry through execution, managing capital projects. This may include working with global engineering teams.
- Plan, monitor, and execute projects to meet scope, cost, quality, and timeline objectives while ensuring alignment with PSM and GMP standards.
- Track and report project milestones, providing clear status updates to management, stakeholders, and customers.
- Resolve project challenges proactively and ensure any issues are addressed efficiently.
- Oversee contractor management, including safety performance, compliance with engineering practices, and auditing.
- Provide technical expertise and support to operations, engineering, and maintenance teams as needed.
- Participate in and lead interdisciplinary reviews on new and existing projects, such as P&ID reviews, HAZOPs, PHAs, and Mechanical Integrity assessments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project).
- Data Analytics experience utilizing Excel.
- Knowledge of capital project development, execution, and field implementation.
- Understanding of process improvements.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Possess good interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to a participative work environment.
- Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
The expected salary range for this role is $86,400 - $105,600; specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
