Financial Accountant

Key Roles

Prepare financial statements (Monthly IFRS package) in adherence to set standards and regulatory requirements

Tax accounting (TVA, DT, IA, ICC&IFD) computation and reporting to authorities

Accounts payable accounting

Maintain the Bank’s fixed assets register & perform fixed assets accounting reconciliation

Oversee the implementation of internal accounting policies & practices (as per GAAP/IFRS) and always ensure adherence to them for financial reports

Collaboration and conduct of financial audit, prudential audit, and internal control

Maintain the Bank’s GL structure and perform accounts reconciliations

Initiate changes, update and maintain the Bank’s Chart of Accounts structure

Reporting line : Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Requirements

• Education: degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized University. CA or CPA (or equivalent Swiss certification) a plus
• Over 5 years in financial accounting/control positions in a Swiss or international bank of which at least 3 years in a similar position in Switzerland
• Fluent in English & French
• Good problem solving and issue resolution capability
• Methodical and details orientated
• Good presentation, communication & interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Computer literacy with a sound knowledge of Accounting systems and spreadsheets.
• Apsys knowledge a plus
• Advanced knowledge of fiscal laws and regulations, Swiss GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
