The Purchasing Department is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the purchasing process within the organization. This involves setting purchasing policies, managing purchasing budgets, and overall management of purchasing processes. The department ensures that all purchases align with EHL’s standards of excellence, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, it collaborates with suppliers to negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships. Through effective procurement strategies, the department supports the school's mission to deliver top-tier hospitality education.

The mission of the Purchasing Director is to oversee the procurement operations of the organization, ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards. The Purchasing Director will collaborate closely with various departments to align purchasing strategies with overall business objectives.
What will you do?
- Develop and implement the company's purchasing policy to the Management, validates the associated strategies proposed by his/her team and steers their implementation on the ground in collaboration with the other departments.
- Improve the company's performance by setting up procedures and tools dedicated to purchasing and by ensuring communication and liaison with all the company's departments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness and support the team during the negotiation phase.
- Manage the purchasing performance indicators and communicate them to the Management and other departments.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure the best deals for the organization. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the market to ensure best value and practices are maintained.
- Lead and manage the purchasing team by developing the organization and ensuring the professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies related to procurement.
Who you are?
- You have a Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Finance.
- You have 10 years of professional experience.
- You have strategic vision to continuously optimize the actions implemented.
- You have Leadership and charisma to mobilize players inside and outside the company (suppliers).
- You have strong resistance to pressure (individual, collective, organizational, crises, etc.).
- You have the ability to make relevant proposals that add value to performance by developing a sense of listening and creativity in their proposals.
- You have an analytical mindset to conceptualize major purchasing projects.
- You have the determination and perseverance to achieve objectives in difficult situations.
- You have expertise in the main purchasing levers (standardization, negotiation, cost breakdown, etc.).
- You master the corporate culture and its various trades.
- You master the players in the sector of activity of its supply chain.
- You have very good legal and financial knowledge.
- You can manage a multicultural teams.
- You are fluent in French and English (C1) and fluent in German (B2).
