Job Title: Sr. Finance Manager
Location: Global Remote or Richmond, VA
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a Sr. Finance Manager who will be responsible for supporting the Case and Anthony P&L’s, including the manufacturing plants for the two divisions in Virginia, California and Georgia. This person will work cross-functionally to provide financial leadership and influence business decisions to meet financial and strategic objectives. The finance leader will be responsible for proactive P&L management by collaborating with business partners, identifying and measuring business performance, driving opportunities to improve growth and profitability and partnering across the divisions to drive execution. This role will also be responsible for procurement controlling, partnering with both local and Dover corporate procurement/sourcing teams to drive cost savings and business continuity strategies.
Essential Competencies:
Business Partnership
- Direct collaboration and partnership with the site leadership teams, including the VP Operations, Managing Director(s) and functional directors
- Executive ad hoc business support for strategic business cases and “what-if” analyses, including project controlling responsibilities
- Financial lead for the business to drive operational execution (productivity savings, procurement savings and value-added Engineering/DTV)
- Establish procurement controllership function for Anthony and Case divisions, responsible for measuring and driving material productivity savings across the combined businesses
Annual Budget, Monthly Forecasting & Ongoing Variance Analysis
- Support organizational alignment through the SIOP process to improve business planning
- Lead various financial planning processes, through coordination with site leadership, for weekly financial flash, month-end close, monthly forecasting, annual operating plan (AOP) and Strategic Planning Cycle (STRAP)
- Interpret and evaluate monthly variance analyses to identify areas of risk and opportunities
- Identify and/or validate capital expenditure (CapEx) projects and forecast cash flow needs
- Drive cash flow forecasting based on inventory strategies, customer collections, and supplier payment obligations
Strategic Process Improvement
- Align and collaborate with Operations team to develop and refine metrics to influence behaviors and meet financial targets
- Provide insights and recommendations for improvement for monthly variance analyses
- Oversee and direct report automation through Power BI
- Collaborate across Dover Food Retail & Dover to drive standardization and continuous improvement for finance processes
Leadership & Strategy
- Influence local financial analyst teams, including coaching & ongoing development to support succession planning across the division and enterprise
- Present and communicate to all levels of the business, including the Executive team
- Serve as point person for customer and product profitability reporting
Minimum Quantifiable Competencies:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- 8+ years of progressive work experience in Finance/Accounting, with business partnership
Preferred Competencies:
- 5+ years of Operations Finance, Decision Support, commercial finance and FP&A
- 3+ years of experience supporting a manufacturing environment, including cost accounting and procurement
- Prior management of direct reports
- Prior financial responsibility for full P&L or Balance Sheet
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Accounting, Finance, Economics or Professional Certification (CPA or CFA)
- Advanced technical skills in Power Query, Power BI, Smart View, Hyperion, Access, Oracle, or SQL a plus

- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office software, budgeting and financial reporting software, also be willing and capable of learning new systems and tools
- Flexible with work schedule especially during month, quarter and year-end closing

Salary Range : $150,000.00 - $170,000.00
