Job Summary:
The Payroll Accountant International ensures that all Employees are paid accurately on timely basis & that all related accounting entries are recorded in the financial system.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process of several international outsourced payrolls;
- Ensures compliant payments of salaries, taxes and social charges for all countries on a timely and monthly basis;
- Ensures correct payroll treatment of equities’ grants and exercises;
- Reviews and updates monthly vacation accruals;
- Books payroll entries in the accounting system;
- Reconciles payroll accounts with General Ledger on a monthly basis;
- Prepares analysis of general ledger accounts for audit, tax and cost analysis purposes;
- Ensure compliance with the company policies and our SOX and other control procedures;
- Reviews payroll providers’ invoices;
- Works on specific payroll projects as assigned by the management;
- Assist the payroll team in various administrative tasks;
- Maintains and protects employee information and payroll operations by keeping information confidential;
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ experience in Finance and/or Payroll
- Detail and numbers oriented, with strong documentation control skills;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently;
- Appropriate handling of confidential information;
- Ability to work within a multinational environment;
- Pro-active; hands on mentality; motivated; team player;
- Fluent in English and local language; any other language is a plus;
- Swiss citizen or valid Swiss working permit;
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
