What works well?

Ichnos is a very dynamic company with a rewarding and positive environment, great values and behaviours are in place with clear objectives and goals. The management values and recognises achievements by all employees which makes it a great company to work for and offers great opportunities for development. The science and technology are cutting edge with very promising impact for patients.

What could be improved?

The visibility of the company is not there yet, some progress with international presentations that could be advertised on different social media platforms to increase visibility.

What works well?

Ichnos (the Biopole site) is a place where I could express my potential. It is a place where you can do great science and seeing it moving from the bench to the clinical insight in first person. This is really rewarding. In addition the group of discovery is very international and young, giving the perfect opportunity to grow in what I think is the best profession ever. Thanks to Ichnos to make this possible!

What could be improved?

Unfortunately, given the COVID situation, the social activities are limited. I think that, as soon as the situation allows, we should organize more social events to boost further the community spirit.

What works well?

Nice view from the lab Good bridge from science to start a career in politic field

What could be improved?

Ichnos sciences is defined itself by “a transformative company with a vision black and white with key values : high performance, forward thinking” Maybe they can change with the correct ones : toxic environment [incompetence etc….. This company is clearly just focused on politics and on personal interests. The big layer of manager people is not in Ichnos to drive science and manage people but just for not taking decision, create rivalry between teams and passing the buck to protect themselves. Toxic and incompetent employees are valued and thanked because they belittle and they do bullying on other people. You can’t be happy in this compagny if you just want to do science and find a cure for patients. Lot of projects change all the time without clear communication and let people manage it alone. Management and HR people blind eye on policy when it is benefit for them and call that accountability, when it is not the case they chase people. HR people take time to write fake comments but they don’t think about the way to write them to be credible. Lot of people who are working in ichnos are in the company for less than one year because all previous employee resigned (or looked for job for the remaining person). The salary are low

What works well?

- Not much - The free cafes - The labs and their view on the lake

What could be improved?

-The hierarchy that apparently knew how to manage the COVID crisis. A very big joke, knowing that we were putting our lives at risk by coming to the site with no health rules. - HR, who are not there at all for the employees and who do no work. - The science that is not done properly at all by spending money out of the window knowing that no investor wants to invest in this company except Glenmark who is desperate to get rid of it. - The team leaders who are not leaders but rather small bosses with no management experience. In short, a toxic environment to avoid.

What works well?

-Certain laboratories are very well equipped -Colleauges are nice and welcoming

What could be improved?

-Toxic behavior of higher-up managers (bullying, miscommunication with their teams, rudeness) -Work/life balance can be really bad depending on position and project -Projects tend to meet constant obstacles or get abandoned -Salary is a joke for Swiss standards -If you do not speak French, communication with a lot of colleagues can get difficult

What could be improved?

incompetent senior management--senior managers are preoccupied with maintaining their own positions, and neglect existing problems; toxic, unhealthy working environment; highly unethical behaviour of certain mid-level managers, who lack professional attitude and are incompetent in people management and in project management; altercations between managers and direct report; bullying and bad mouthing among employees and managers; Company has little interest in employees' personal development or career development; HR does not care about employees, since HR employees--like most others---are preoccupied with keeping their own job; support infrastructure for information technology, and wet lab missing; frequent changes about project priorities; internal communication is poor, and different functional teams do not work well together; team heads blame each other for problems, in front of senior managers; lack of clarity about work priorities and poor management leads to high stress level; high employee turnover, because of hire and fire attitude. Company lags behind competitor companies in science, technology, and development; digital development state of company is low; lab processes that other companies have automated many years ago are still done manually, error prone, and slowly; company lacks innovative approaches and substance. new employees are not welcome; there are tensions between 'old generation' Glenmark employees and newly arrived employees; new employees seen as threat by older employees to their jobs; if you don't speak French, you will be left out of certain conversations;

Some colleauges are nice Labs are well equipped Cool coffee machines

What could be improved?

Low salaries Toxic management by the higher ups Projects always going wring and abandoned HR support is almost nonexistent Employees are either not caring anymore or burnt out

What works well?

Nothing is working well, just the happiness of people when they leave their workplace at the end of the day...

What could be improved?

A lot of things have to be improved, may be everything in fact. First HR people can learn to communicate efficiently with the employees in place of posting fake positive comments on Jobup and taking time also to answer to these fake comments. Leadership team is not able to lead people, just organizing regular useless meetings, thinking about their personal ambitions. Without any strong scientific background, it is impossible to cure disease... Mobbing, working under pressure, offering days off but asking for business continuity during Xmas break (nice joke), focusing on timelines only and forgetting the basis of scientific rules (in fact make science according to timelines), are daily events at Ichnos. Working atmosphere is really toxic, and nothing is done to improve it despite numerous negative feedbacks from the majority of employees.

What works well?

Nice colleagues, a lot of great scientists in the operational teams, but not in the leadership team. Nice place to work inLausanne (Biopole). Most of the competent people are applying elsewhere or even thinking to create their own company.

What could be improved?

Everything has been said in most of the comments. (the oldest ones, not the recent ones written by Human Ressources Team). Everything should be improved. Managers are not supporting their teams, are not taking their responsibilities. Poor Leadership team; bad communication, not competent, lack of honesty and equity. No real innovation in science; leaders are more focused on respecting the deadlines than doing great science. Horrible work environment; a lot of pressure by managers and leadership team. Run away.
