Arigatou International Geneva

Arigatou International is an international NGO committed to building a better world for children. An initiator and sustainer of partnership-based initiatives to secure child rights and foster children's well-being, Arigatou International seeks to maximize the potential of interfaith cooperation, and always strives to empower and involve children and youth.

Holding special consultative status with ECOSOC and consultative status with UNICEF, Arigatou International liaises and works jointly with UN agencies and other NGOs to foster cooperation within a rights-based approach to the profound issues faced by children and youth today.   

The Arigatou International office in Geneva, Switzerland manages the Ethics Education initiative that works towards advancing ethics education for children, with an innovative approach to interfaith and intercultural learning, placing children at the heart of all that we do.  It also serves as liaison office with UN agencies and child-rights-focused NGOs.

The Ethics Education Initiative functions as a Knowledge and Action Hub working together with a variety of partners in more than 30 countries with several programs that address the holistic development of children and youth.  Some of the programs the office is engaged with include the convening of an International Consortium on Nurturing Values and Spirituality in Early Childhood for the Prevention of Violence with more than 25 international partners; the dissemination, adaptation and training on its flagship program: Learning to Live Together with children ages 6 to 18 years old; the collaborative work with partners in the promotion of ethics education for peace and resilience building; as well as advocacy programs in Geneva working collaboratively with permanent missions, child-rights based organizations and multilateral agencies.
