This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring they are managed in alignment with company policies and government regulations. The position requires close collaboration with HR colleagues, external vendors, internal stakeholders, and employees to provide support and deliver clear information on all benefit-related matters.
Key Accountabilities:

Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, retirement, and pension plans in various international locations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment options to new employees.

Assist employees with benefits inquiries and issues, acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers.

Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations, as needed.

Ensure all benefit plans comply with federal and state regulations, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA).

Coordinate annual benefits open enrollment process.

Prepare and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment sessions, and summary plan descriptions.

Facilitate open enrollment meetings and provide information sessions for employees.

Maintain compliance with applicable U.S. federal and state regulations and with applicable local regulations concerning employee benefits in each country of operation.

Prepare and file required reports and forms such as 5500s, 1095-Cs, and other compliance-related documentation.

Manage relationships with benefits vendors and brokers.

Evaluate vendor performance and conduct regular reviews.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits records in the benefits systems.

Provide exceptional customer service regarding benefits-related issues.

Assist HR Business Partners in educating employees on benefit plan options, policy features, and enrollment procedures.
Required Qualification (Education/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience required.

3+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role.

Knowledge of U.S. federal and state regulations governing benefits programs.

Experience with international benefits administration and knowledge of local benefits regulations in various countries.

Proficiency in managing benefits for a global workforce, including expatriates and local employees.

Ability to work effectively with a diverse, global team.

Strong cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with HRIS systems and benefits administration software.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or similar certification is a plus.

Additional language skills are a plus.
