Accountant

The Accountant will support the implementation team of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) financial modules with a focus on General Ledger and Fixed Assets. He/She will also support accounting related tasks for our holding company (month-end closings, invoices, calculations, financial statements).

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Support and work closely with the Oracle implementation team
• Support the migration of data from our current system to Oracle
• Perform monthly closings of company books, including consolidation reporting
• Prepare the statutory financial statements of the Swiss legal entity
• Ensure that all day-to-day activities of the company follow SOP/accounting principles
• Prepare monthly and daily financial reports
• Work closely with the local controlling team  
• Oversee the AUC cycle: Cost Project Life Management (creation, closure), Capitalization, Ageing monitoring
• Manage fixed assets projects
• Support and liaise with other finance departments and other functions and departments as required

Our requirements:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related fields
• Previous work experience in international companies
• Relevant experience of ideally 3 to 5 years in similar positions in a modern manufacturing environment – preferably in the automotive industry
• Having a CPA certification would be an advantage
• In-depth knowledge of finance processes within organizations
• Previous experience of working with ERP systems (preferably in Oracle)
• Excellent English language skills - both written and verbal
• Good knowledge of German (B2 or B3 level)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure, challenge others and speak your mind
