The Director of Payer Partnerships will be responsible for developing and advancing payer partnerships and policy-shaping strategies for assigned product categories, with a focus on high-impact areas. This role ensures we are continuously monitoring and shaping critical changes within the dynamic payer environment and taking appropriate and timely actions to optimize the value of our products and future development. The position requires deep expertise in the pharmaceutical payer policy environment within key international markets, with a strong focus on pricing and reimbursement regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Payer Partnerships Strategy: Develop a comprehensive resource detailing how payers regulate our product categories in key markets, identifying key constraints, leverages, where we have reasonable ability to influence.

Horizon Scanning: Monitor the external payer policy landscape across diverse markets, identifying key changes in HTA, pricing & reimbursement, and other access-related regulations, critical implications, and appropriate actions.

Payer Policy Shaping: Proactively identify and develop policy-shaping opportunities to establish/support funding pathways in line with market access and therapeutic area (TA) strategies.

Strategic Positioning: Provide guidance on internalizing policy implications and optimizing approaches to position our portfolio and future developments effectively. Enhance these skills across the organization.

Market Access Plan: Develop and execute payer partnership strategy as part of the integrated access Market Access Plan (MAP).

Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with Product Access Strategy, other Market Access COEs, and other partner functions to integrate payer policy considerations into the brand strategy and ensure effective execution. Partner with Corporate External Affairs when political engagement is required. Promote best practice sharing across countries and globally and facilitate information exchange between global and regional teams.

Market Insights for Planning: Provide payer policy insights to support forecasting and long-range planning, including analysis of key payer regulation changes and risk assessments.
Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience developing and implementing payer policy shaping and partnership programs

Track Record: Proven experience working with governments, payers, and pharmaceutical industry stakeholders in global markets to deliver country-level or cross-country policy initiatives, with tangible examples of success.

Knowledge: Extensive understanding of policy matters, including pricing & reimbursement, funding, and access to medicines. Knowledge and technical expertise in CSL key disease areas is a plus.

Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, with strong communication and influencing skills.

Education: An advanced degree in Public Policy, Public Health, or a related field is preferred.
