We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to help maintain and optimize our technological infrastructure. You will work with cutting-edge technologies, supporting systems that enable our team to advance our integrated platform for membrane protein biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, and computational lead discovery.

Your mission

Serve as the primary IT Specialist, overseeing our ICT infrastructure, providing user support, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines. Implement robust data security measures and spearheading strategic IT planning to support the company's growth objectives.

Key duties include

Managing the company's ICT infrastructure, SharePoint data, and cybersecurity, including coordinating with external IT vendors.

Providing on-site support to install and maintain computers (Windows, Mac, Linux), peripherals, laboratory instruments and network systems.

Training and onboarding other employees on procedures, policies and relevant knowledge in IT best practices and cybersecurity.

Planning the IT budget and ensuring alignment with financial guidelines and asset management.

Communicating budget updates to the person responsible and overseeing IT procurement (software and hardware) to ensure efficient resource allocation.

Your Profile

As a highly motivated ICT Support Specialist, you strive for continuous improvement. You are committed to delivering great results and building strong, lasting partnerships within and outside the company.

This position requires the following qualifications and experience:

Information Technologist (Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training) or B.Sc. in Informatics, System Engineering, or related discipline.

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in IT user support, preferably in a lab environment or in a small company (20-50 employees).

Can provide one or more certificates such as: ITIL, CompTIA A+, MCSA or comparable.

Excellent team player with high work ethics.

Fluency in English is essential (B2+), German is a plus.
