The Sales Development Representative at Vrbo is a crucial contributor to the success of the new business development sales teams. This role primarily involves identifying, qualifying, and advancing new business leads in high-demand destinations, which are then handed off to the Market Development Sales Team. Key prospecting activities include lead list creation, data scraping, organic search, cold-calling, and targeted outreach via email and phone. These efforts are essential for building a robust pipeline of opportunities and ensuring the sales team has a steady flow of qualified leads to pursue.
In this role, you will:

Opportunity Creation: Engaging in meetings to build customer accounts and creating a plan to continue to maintain a pipeline of opportunities.

Strategic Thinking: Coming up with new ideas to ensure opportunities are captured and handed over to the Market Development Manager.

Data Gathering: Collecting information to address business needs and documenting business cases for change.

Organizational Understanding: Learning how the department fits into the larger organization and understanding the financial impacts of decisions.

Customer Insight: Learning about key decision-makers and understanding the customer’s industry and competitive market.

Product Knowledge: Building knowledge of the company’s and competitors’ products and services.

Relationship Building: Developing a network of relationships for lead generation and seeking help from managers when needed.

Sales Process: Understanding how to qualify buyers, identify sales opportunities, and create account plans.

Customer Engagement: Attending meetings to understand customer needs and developing value propositions.
Experience and qualifications:

Education- Bachelor's or equivalent experience

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $69,000.00 to $96,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $110,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
