Our client, a globally operating pharmaceutical company, is looking for an experienced Accountant (60%) with payroll responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly payroll accounting and collaborate with HR on payroll-related matters.
- Reconcile social security accounts and review year-end statements (e.g., Swica, Helvetia, TAS).
- Support the Senior Accounting Manager with month-end closing tasks.
- Process invoices, employee expenses, and manual journal entries in Sage.
- Assist in preparing quarterly VAT reports and annual VAT turnover reconciliation.
- Monitor and reconcile nominal and sub-ledger accounts.
- Verify documentation and schedule payments in Sage, Kyriba, and JP Morgan.

qualifications
Your Profile:
- Experienced accountant with Swiss payroll expertise (social security, taxes, compliance).
- Qualification in accounting (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is a plus.
- Proficient in SAGE, Cognos, TM1, PA, BI software, and MS Excel.
- Experience with payment systems and reconciliation tasks.
- Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken).
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator across all business functions.
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting and payroll.
