We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Port Operations Director - Cruise Terminal to manage and oversee operations at one of our cruise terminal in Italy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth running of daily cruise terminal activities and will possess strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, as well as experience in port and cruise terminal management.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Oversee daily operations of the cruise terminal including passenger flow, baggage handling, port services, security, customs and immigration.
• Facility management: ensure the terminal facilities are well-maintained, clean, and in optimal working conditions.
• Manage resources and logistics to ensure operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
• Monitor performance and implement strategies to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security (ISPS code, PNSM, Reg. CE n. 725/2004), and any other regulatory standards.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Proven experience in cruise terminal operations or passenger services, with a deep understanding of the cruise industry and its unique operational needs.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience in managing teams and liaising with diverse stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of safety & security, and regulatory requirements specific to the cruise industry.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing conditions, and ensure a high level of service delivery.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
