You will be joining the IT Automation team, whose role is to work closely with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, streamline processes, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Your expertise will guide the organization towards a more agile and responsive IT environment.
As a part of this team you will evaluate and implement scalable and secure automation frameworks and solutions to meet organizational needs. You will help build the Self-Service IT, where stakeholders interface with AWS-like cloud consoles and leverage hybrid cloud services.
This role requires a deep understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code, automation platforms, cloud technologies and operational paradigms. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and extensive experience in automating a wide variety of tasks whether technical or bureaucratic.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the integration of automation solutions with existing IT systems and applications.
- Lead the implementation of automation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Support IT inventory and regulatory reporting automation
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for automation processes, configurations, and procedures.
- Monitor the performance of automated systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements in all automation activities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by advocating for and implementing automation best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field involving programming (e.g., physics, mathematics), or equivalent experience.
- Over 3 years of experience with tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Actions, ActiveBatch, etc.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Rust, .Net, C, C++, Perl, Ruby, or Go.
- A systematic approach to problem-solving, strong communication skills, and a sense of ownership and drive.
Preferred
- Understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, procedures, operational protocols and incident response.
- Knowledgeable about SLOs, KPIs and error budgeting definitions and implementations
- Experience working with Kubernetes
- Ability to learn, understand, and work quickly with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the IT technology space.
