This position reports to
Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to handle customer and domain-specific software migrations, ensuring compatibility with next generation of our process automation platform. Each day, you will exe-cute assigned design and development activities focused on building solutions in an efficient and cost-effective manner and in accordance with quality standards. You will also showcase your experience by providing curate project schedule estimates and ensure their timely completion within the deadline.The work model for the role is: #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Energy Industries division in Switzerland.You will be mainly accountable for:• Migrating of in-house software to a containerized framework, ensuring seamless scalability and efficiency.• Managing and migrating of customer-specific add-ons into a containerized environment, tailoring solutions to meet unique client needs.• Continuously reviewing, maintaining, and enhancing our software framework to optimize performance and functionality.• Commissioning our edge solution for network monitoring, ensuring reliable and efficient system integration.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in .NET Core and Python, with practical knowledge of C/C++ or Rust. Solid under-standing of protocols such as Profinet, gRPC, OPC UA/DA, or MQTT.
- Practical experience with time-series databases like TimescaleDB or InfluxDB.
- Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and precision of all work.
- Understanding of industrial systems or SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and other industrial control systems is a plus.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German is additionally considered.
