In this role, you will provide essential financial support to the management team by conducting financial planning and analysis. You will ensure compliance with safety, health, environment, and hygiene directives, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
A day in the life of a Finance & Control Manager
Controlling management and improvement
- Manage and review the budget for the production center
- Maintain a high level of internal control and ensure compliance with company values and guidelines
- Support and oversee accounting activities
- Identify, drive, and deliver cost improvement opportunities through team effort
- Actively contribute to improvement projects and initiatives
- Validate, drive and track proposed savings
- Challenge assumptions for cost improvements using internal and external benchmarks
- Drive continuous improvement activities within the factory in alignment with our Operational Master Plan and approved budget.
Reporting and Analytics
- Manage and interpret factory reporting of actuals and forecasts
- Monitor progress to close gaps, ensuring adherence to Nestlé financial policies, Accounting Standards, and Costing Standards
- Lead strategic financial analysis related to major decisions to ensure cost transparency and understanding of non-financial implications
- Issue periodical financial reports.
Business Planning
- Manage the overall factory budget with the management team
- Act as the liaison between the factory and Head Office during the business planning process.
- Perform forecasts and simulations as needed
- Capital investments financial assessment
- Conduct post CAPEX evaluations
- Ensure asset capitalization process.
People Management, culture and knowledge transfer
- Coach and develop factory personnel with a focus on finance individuals and teams
- Drive understanding of financial key figures, costing, and business impact
- Organize training sessions for non-specialists.
Compliance
- Manage routine audit activities to ensure compliance
- Champion compliance and risk management for the site
- Ensure visibility and control of assets and liabilities, developing and implementing internal controls.
What will make you successful
- University Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in controlling, preferably in Industrial environment
- Experience with financial statements
- Ability to understand and communicate product profit and loss drivers.
- Results-focused, self-starter with strong initiative and independent thinking.
- Intermediate to advanced financial modeling skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentations.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop recommendations and communicate them to non-finance professionals.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business results.
- Proven ability to drive change.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and other digital tools, including SAP
