Safety Officer

For Lonza AG in Visp we are looking for a Safety Officer (m/f/d) 100%. This role is temporary for a minimum of 6 months.

responsibilities:

• responsible for managing the work permit process, assessing risks and preparing work permits in line with safety regulations.
• conduct random inspections of work areas to ensure compliance and approve workspaces after tasks are completed.
• identifying hazards, implementing risk control measures and ensuring a safe working environment.
• collaboratioin with teams to foster a proactive safety culture and provides safety guidance and training as needed.

• Industrial apprenticenship with 3-10 years of experiences or bachelor of process engineering or machine engineering

• Excellent communication skills in english (german advantage) for effectively coordinating with various teams and training personnel on safety practices.

• Strong attention to detail for conducting thorough inspections and identifying potential risks.
• Ability to foster a proactive safety culture, encouraging team members to adhere to and improve safety standards.
• Familiarity with company and industry standards on safety protocols, risk mitigation, and emergency response.
