The Analytics & Planning – Global BU Analyst will be responsible for the Service BU management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes and ensures timely delivery of all related milestones. This role will leverage data to provide relevant insights to support informed decision making. This role will report to the Service BU CFO and is a key role in the BU CFO leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting and planning: Leads the BU’s budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes and ensures timely delivery of all milestones following the global BU and company’s budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes. Serves as the main interface between the Service BU and the company finance functions (e.g. FP&A, Corporate Controlling, etc.).
Management Reporting: Leads the BU’s management reporting (monthly, quarterly, yearly) and ensures complete alignment of management reporting processes across the Service BU Hubs. Serves as the main interface between the Service BU and the company finance functions (e.g. FP&A, Corporate Controlling, etc.).
BU performance: Monitors business progress, provides insights, by leveraging data, to drive and support strategic and operational decision-making. Provides relevant insights to the BU Managing Director and CFO by gathering and summarizing data, preparing reports/presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations, in close alignment with the Service BU hubs and functions.
Financial reporting and management: Leads processes and leverages necessary tools to obtain transparent, timely and reliable financial and business data, following the company’s closing and reporting timetable.
Optimization and continuous improvement: Leads optimization and continuous improvement initiatives within the BU related to management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes. Contributes to improvements in the closing process and reporting quality, in close collaboration with the company finance functions and the Service BU hubs.
Communication, collaboration and knowledge sharing: Leads, provides guidance and facilitates best practice sharing within the BU, in collaboration with the Service BU hubs and functions, to ensure alignment and consistency of specific practices and processes.
Company functional collaboration: Contributes to company functional processes (e.g. FP&A. Corporate Controlling, CP&O, etc.).
Governance: Ensures management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning governance is in place within the BU and drives implementation of processes to ensure compliance with global BU and company processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance
- Experience in a global organization and a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strategic, critical and analytical thinking capabilities
- Business experience within the Energy Industry, business acumen skills
- Deep understanding of Finance processes, systems and general (business & finance) requirements, financial KPIs and strategy
- Ability to build and maintain a network of engaged stakeholders within the BU, actively promoting collaboration
