About the role
As a Business Applications Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing BCP’s in-house business applications. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure that the business application landscape effectively supports our banking operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop in-house business applications.
• Analyse business requirements, design, develop, and implement new features.
• Use, develop and maintain a full DevOps environment to ensure seamless application lifecycle management.
• Ensure operational and production monitoring of developed applications.
• Develop automated application control tools for enhanced efficiency.
• Implement and maintain interfaces between banking applications.
• Develop BI reports and applications to support business intelligence needs.
• Maintain and update related documentation and procedures.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HES/EPF) in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience in business application development.
• Expertise in relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and complex queries (SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling).
• Proficiency in Full Stack Development: Java, Spring Boot, Angular.
• Agile Methodology experience (Scrum, Kanban) is required.
• Knowledge of BI tools (SAP Business Objects, QlikSense) is an asset.
• Solid experience with DevOps & CI/CD technologies (example: GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Sonar, Nexus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently.
• Fluency in French and a good level of English.
• Professional experience in Trade Finance and Banking is highly desirable.
