About the role
As a Business Applications Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing BCP’s in-house business applications. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure that the business application landscape effectively supports our banking operations.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and develop in-house business applications.
- Analyse business requirements, design, develop, and implement new features.
- Use, develop and maintain a full DevOps environment to ensure seamless application lifecycle management.
- Ensure operational and production monitoring of developed applications.
- Develop automated application control tools for enhanced efficiency.
- Implement and maintain interfaces between banking applications.
- Develop BI reports and applications to support business intelligence needs.
- Maintain and update related documentation and procedures.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HES/EPF) in Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of experience in business application development.
- Expertise in relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and complex queries (SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling).
- Proficiency in Full Stack Development: Java, Spring Boot, Angular.
- Agile Methodology experience (Scrum, Kanban) is required.
- Knowledge of BI tools (SAP Business Objects, QlikSense) is an asset.
- Solid experience with DevOps & CI/CD technologies (example: GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Sonar, Nexus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage projects independently.
- Fluency in French and a good level of English.
- Professional experience in Trade Finance and Banking is highly desirable.
