For our international medical partner, F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. in Basel, we are looking for a qualified and motivated Associate/Scientist Cell culture for a temporary contract of 12 months.

The position is located in Lead Discovery, a department within the Discovery of pRED's Small Molecule Research. Our primary focus is screening, profiling and establishing SAR to identify and drive chemistry in small molecule projects. We collaborate closely with our therapeutic areas and functions to convert therapeutic hypotheses into innovative therapeutics. We are offering an outstanding opportunity for a motivated and skilled Associate/Scientist to work with a highly engaged team of neuroscientists, cell biologists, and automation experts using state-of-the-art technologies. You will be responsible for cultivating and differentiating iPSC also at larger scale and establishing and optimizing assay and screening conditions in close collaboration with automation experts and neuroscientists using immunofluorescence stainings and high content imaging.
Tasks
- Differentiation of iPSCs and cell culture experiments
- Shaping and evolving an exploratory project to demonstrate the impact of phenotypic drug discovery
- Nurturing trustful relationships and effective collaboration with internal and external partners
Must Haves
- Apprenticeship+3 years of experience or a Master's degree+1 year of experience or PhD or an equivalent education
- Experience in advanced cell culture techniques (including iPSC differentiation and larger scale cell culture)
- It is advantageous to have experience in automated screening techniques, and immunofluorescence staining
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
