Admissions and Recruitment Manager
The Department of Management, Technology, and Economics (D-MTEC) is looking for an Admissions Manager (f/m/d, 100%) 1 year contract (with possibility to extend) to join the MAS MTEC team. The Master of Advanced Studies ETH in Management, Technology, and Economics is one of the most established management education programmes for professionals in Switzerland. Since 1980, more than 2000 graduates have benefited from the advantages of ETH Zurich and the Department of Management, Technology, and Economics to take on management and leadership roles in their professional future.
Project background
The MAS MTEC programme at ETH Zurich is undergoing a transition, and we are seeking an Admissions and Recruitment Manager to support us during this pivotal phase. Our goal is to enhance the admissions process, refine recruitment strategies, and strengthen the programme’s market presence while ensuring a seamless experience for prospective students.
Although the position is initially a one-year contract, there is a possibility for extension based on programme needs and performance.
Job description
As the Admissions and Recruitment Manager, you will be instrumental in attracting top talent, managing the admissions process, and enhancing the visibility of our MAS MTEC programme across Switzerland. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing the entire recruitment process, serving as the primary point of contact for prospective candidates, designing and executing email campaigns, organizing recruitment events, and reporting on admissions data.
- Lead student recruitment efforts by managing the entire admissions process, including advising applicants, reviewing applications, and coordinating interviews to attract high-quality candidates and ensure a strong applicant pool.
- Refine and enhance assessment methods, incorporating interviews, case studies, and leadership evaluations.
- Develop strategies to leverage events for lead generation and student engagement while tracking and analyzing admissions data to optimize recruitment efforts and improve decision-making.
- Plan and execute key recruitment events, including online and in-person information sessions, campus tours, and external fairs.
- Coordinate with external vendors to ensure smooth execution of events, including logistics, catering, and venue selection.
- Represent the programme at recruitment fairs to strengthen its presence in Switzerland.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the programme’s visibility and outreach.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve admissions, outreach, and engagement efforts.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven senior level experience in sales, recruitment and/or admissions, preferably in higher education (
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset with experience in reporting and refining processes based on insights.
- Solid understanding of CRM systems, social media platforms, and digital marketing tools.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative strategies.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal; German is an asset.
