ABOUT YOUR NEW JOB
External Communications Manager plays a crucial role in CCHBC success. Builds and maintains a positive corporate reputation for CCH through managing our external communication across channels, proactively engaging with relevant external stakeholders, especially media.
YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop Communication Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive external communication plans that align with our goals and objectives
- Craft Messaging and Content: Produce compelling content and assets for various channels to effectively convey our brand and values
- Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers to facilitate effective media coverage.
- Digital channels management: Develop and execute strategy and yearly action plans, setting relevant KBIs for the collaborating agencies
- Reputation Management: Monitoring media coverage and public sentiment to identify potential issues or opportunities and ensuring consistent and impactful messaging
- Project leadership for the development of the local sustainability report
- Manage Crisis Communications in line with our refined procedures
- Support brand marketing campaigns for selected products
- Drive external communications excellence: Ensure we stay ahead of the latest societal and technological developments to continuously enhance stakeholder value.
ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?
- Completed bachelor’s degree (University/FH) or higher in a relevant field, Master in a relevant field a plus
- Relevant previous work experience on similar rolesin Corporate Communications (corporate, association, NGO, consultancy) or media roles
- Existing media network with desire to expand in line with business priorities
- Experience in content creation, strategic communications planning, crisis communications
- Digital and Social Media Proficiency
- Proven track record of business mindset and business impact
- Prior experience in FMCG a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication and content creation skills
- Able to identify ‘stories that will sell’…’a nose for news’
- Deep knowledge of media / social media work
- Readiness to liaise with journalists, also outside of normal working hours
- Strong drive for self-development and learning
- Curios and digital savvy
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Good knowledge of sustainability trends, best practices and public opinion on sustainability
- German & English – fluent; French – nice to have.
