Introduction:

On behalf of our client, a global security and defense technology company, we are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join the operations team in Bern. The role supports a large-scale integration project with the Swiss Armed Forces.

Role Summary:

You will be responsible for overseeing the quality aspects of system integration, hardware and software testing, and compliance with military and international standards. This includes planning, executing, and documenting QA activities across the full delivery cycle, from prototypes to serial production.

Your Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with program, supplier, and customer teams to ensure test procedures and QA standards are met.
• Manage QA activities across all product delivery phases.
• Participate in reviews: Test Readiness, Technical/Final Qualification, and Acceptance Tests.
• Prepare test documentation, run verification procedures, track results, and handle deviations.
• Ensure full traceability of deliverables using tools like JIRA.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests and on-site system integration testing.
• Develop and implement KPIs, and automate quality processes where applicable.

Your Profile:

• Fluent in German or French, with good English skills.
• Experience with system integration and QA in technical/defense environments.
• Familiar with armasuisse/quality standards (QIAV, ISO 9100, AQAP 2110, MIL/EN norms).
• Hands-on experience with QA tools (JIRA), ERP systems, test automation (JMeter, LoadRunner), and CI/CD tools (Ansible, Jenkins).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multicultural environments.
