Position Overview:
Hotel Silberhorn & Spa, a renowned hotel located in the heart of the beautiful Swiss Alps in Wengen, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Steward to join our team for the upcoming winter season. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in our kitchen and food service areas, contributing to the smooth running of our hotel and delivering an exceptional experience to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all kitchen and dishwashing areas are kept clean, hygienic, and organized.
- Wash and store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to hotel standards.
- Assist the kitchen team with basic tasks, such as food preparation and cleaning duties.
- Ensure waste management procedures are followed, including the proper disposal of garbage and recycling.
- Help maintain the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and food service areas.
- Support in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to provide excellent guest experiences.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Steward or in a similar role is a plus but not required.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during the winter season.
- Legal right to work in Switzerland or valid work permit for the winter season.
