For our client, a dynamic trading company based in Geneva, we are actively looking a highly motivated Operations Trader Support professional to work closely with the trading team and operations units. This individual will play a critical role in coordinating and supporting trading operations across multiple regions, ensuring smooth execution from contract to delivery. The role requires someone with a strong understanding of trading and logistics processes, and the ability to grow into more responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key support person for the trading team, assisting with daily trade execution and follow-up.
- Coordinate across global operational hubs, particularly in Europe & the USA.
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end trade flow, including:
- Reviewing and assisting with sales contracts
- Liaising with customers on shipments and documentation
- Ensuring invoice accuracy and timely payments
- Coordinating with banks for amendments and financial documentation
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely movement of goods.
- Maintain regular communication with internal teams and external partners to align on key deliverables.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues or delays.
- Provide support for compliance checks and reporting
Profile Requirements:
- Prior experience in an international trading company or logistics/operations department is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of trading and shipping workflows, documentation, and terminology.
- Strong academic background, with Swiss qualification is preferred.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills.
- Ability to work across time zones and teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP or trading systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English & French (other languages are a plus).
- Willingness to learn and gradually take on more responsibilities in trading or operational decision-making.
