Description
The Financial Controller will assist the CFO in controlling financial processes, coordinating reporting, and consolidating financial data from various entities. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing and improving financial processes.
- Managing quarterly reporting for multiple entities.
- Supervising accounting processes such as AP, AR, GL, VAT, taxes, payroll, and petty cash.
- Conducting intercompany reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Executing intercompany re-invoicing via the head office.
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with affiliate accounting departments.
- Providing support and training to local accounting colleagues.
- Creating and implementing common accounting and financial guidelines.
- Identifying and proposing continuous improvements to financial processes and ERP systems.
- Preparing short business plans for new capital expenditures.
- Ensuring compliance with company rules and policies (QHSE, ETHICS, FCPA).
Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in accounting or finance, with 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial control.
- Fluency in English and French.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
- Experience in supervising and training accounting teams.
- Ability to travel to various regions as required (10-25%).
