For our international medical partner, Roche Diagnostics Int Ltd. based in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a qualified and motivated Digital Solution Test Engineer for one year with option for extension.
Our team of systems engineers supports development and integration of next generation central lab physical and digital products focusing on seamless interoperability between analyzers, workflow products, and IT systems. We take pride in translating customer and business needs into high-level solution requirements, designing comprehensive architectures, and developing technically feasible design concepts. Based on solid systems engineering principles, we integrate our products into end-to-end settings that closely resemble customer workflows, resulting in a more seamless and satisfactory customer experience.
Tasks
- Review and Validation: Contribute to and review requirements documentation, architecture, and interfaces to ensure clarity, integration, and testability.
- Test Strategy and Planning: Define the integration, verification, and validation strategy based on project scope, schedule, architecture, workflows, and risks. Plan the necessary resources (employees, infrastructure, and materials) for integration and test campaigns.
- Test Case Management: Create, maintain, and review test cases for software, hardware, and consumables across all lifecycle phases-from early feasibility to product care.
- Test Execution: Compose, execute, and assess the results of functional and non-functional tests according to the defined Test Strategy. Execute test cases during informal and formal tests, assess test results, report and track issues, and verify fixes.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Lead the execution, reporting, and documentation of system and solution integration and test campaigns, coordinating with stakeholders, including engineering, portfolio management, project management, and quality management.
- Defect and Enhancement Management: Properly enter and update defects and enhancement requests in the NIC (Notes Issues and Changes) Tracking Tool.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Hardware, Software, Consumables Development, Global Customer Support, Operations, and System Development to ensure successful product integration and testing.
Must Haves
- Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. computer science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering
- Experience in systems engineering
- Experience in working across several projects and/or products
- 2-5 years experience in hands-on testing is a plus, preferable in the diagnostics industry
- Good documentation skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. German is an advantage.
- Experience and understanding of software development processes.
- As a plus, you gained experience and domain knowledge in the diagnostics industry.
